Laura Sanders: VP Development,Tivoli
Tivoli Software provides comprehensive service management solutions which give customers visibility, control and automation to enable them to better manage their infrastructure, operations and processes to more effectively deliver services aligned to business goals.
Laura Sanders, vice president of development for IBM Tivoli Software, leads the worldwide team responsible for delivering the solutions central to Service Management. Together, this global team designs, develops and delivers Tivoli's broad base of products and offerings, including autonomic technologies - a corporate-wide initiative focused on making computing systems more self-managing and resilient.
Previously, Laura served as vice president of System Storage Products and Solutions, where she managed the System Storage portfolio including strategy, product management, alliances, and business development. Prior to that, she was one of the development executives on the Tivoli development team.
Laura was the integration executive for IBM’s acquisition of Informix, where she led the transition of this $1B business to become an integral part of IBM’s Data Management business. She served as the VP of IBM's e-learning business and director of marketing in the finance sector in Europe. She also was honored to serve as executive assistant to John Thompson, the Software Group senior vice president and group executive at the creation of the Software Group.
Laura started her IBM career as an engineer in Boca Raton during the development and launch of the PS/2. She managed many software development projects including OS/2. Laura received her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA in Finance from Tulane University in New Orleans.
